Disruption and transformation in the energy sector: 'Shotgun' M&A and other trends

Energy & Natural Resources

“Lower-for-longer” commodity prices are causing structural shifts in the oil and gas and related sectors. Companies are taking steps to weather the slump by restructuring or selling non-core assets. In some instances, businesses are being forced into accelerated or “shotgun” M&A. Distress has also started appearing in renewables, as initial euphoria died down for YieldCos. This panel will discuss legal and commercial issues in today’s wave of energy corporate restructurings and M&As brought about by these key trends.
