International financial institutions and cross border projects

Cross-Border Investment; Banking, Finance and Securities

This session will be a case study of cross-border investment or acquisition projects which are funded by international financial institutions, in particular development banks. The panelists will study any special features of such projects in (a) structuring the investment / acquisition, (b) securing the funding from the financial institutions, and (c) arranging the exits for the financial institutions. They will explain the implications of local laws of the financial institutions and the locations of the projects, based on their own legal background and experience. Speaker(s) from financial institutions will comment on practice of financial institutions.
